Sweet Pea Festival

If the words "Bozeman, Montana" and "arts mecca" don't seem to belong together, maybe you haven't checked out the Sweet Pea Festival. Founded in 1978, the Sweet Pea Festival has been bringing a full roster of music, art and cultural events to Bozeman every summer for more than 30 years.

The Sweet Pea Festival is a community-wide event that kicks off the week before the three-day event. Sidewalks in downtown Bozeman are transformed by chalk murals and restaurants open their doors for special festival events. At least 1,500 volunteers work year-round to organize the event, which draws more than 16,000 attendees.

Featuring 100 artists and craftspeople from around Montana and the United States, the Sweet Pea Festival is a great place to find a one-of-a-kind gift for yourself and others. But the festival affords many experiences that money can't buy. Children lead off a delightful parade through Bozeman with the annual 1K Fun Run. Live music rings through Lindley Park, a flower show entices with sights and smells, cowboy storytellers and improvisational troupes delight children and families and dancers and actors perform for spellbound audiences.

In its 33rd year of celebration the Sweet Pea Festival will take place August 6, 7 &8 2010. Join us in Celebrating the arts in Bozeman.
