Livingston Montana Lodging

If you are looking for a place “to lay your head”, check out the fine selection of Livingston hotels and Montana lodging options.

Livingston, Montana is the original Yellowstone "stopping off" point for the Northern Pacific Railroad. Though the town it is no longer serviced by passenger trains, it is now the place where many visitors to Yellowstone National Park depart Interstate 90 to drive toward the park's northern entrance at Gardiner, Montana.

Those who quickly turn toward Yellowstone without heading into town will miss Livingston's charm. A short, 2-mile drive from the highway brings you to the well-preserved downtown area, featuring classic brick buildings and architecture, quaint shops and restaurants, and the historic and ornate train depot. This downtown area has been featured in several motion pictures, including "A River Runs Through It". Livingston, Montana is just an hour from Yellowstone, making it a great overnight stop or extended stay "base camp" for park exploration, in a scenic small-town setting.
