Depending on season, time of day, and weather conditions, you might just spot a herd of elk meandering across the hillside in the foreground. Just behind this hill is the famous "M", a white-washed set of rocks embedded into a hillside initially built by Montana State college students back in the early 1900s as a marker, and is the most popular local hiking trail for both locals and regional visitors.
