Streamline Bus System

Getting around Bozeman and the outlying areas has never been easier thanks to the Streamline Bus System.

  • There is no fee charged for using the Streamline Bus system
  • The Streamline Bus System has four color coded routes, Greenline Express Route, Yellowline Business Route, Blueline Retail Route and Redline Downtown Route.
  • Because of the variance in routes and the times of travel,, we would recommend that you first obtain a route map and then plan your travel.

The Streamline Bus System is designated by color into four distinct routes. Depending on where you want to go, to MSU, downtown, or outlying areas will determine which line you wish to travel on. Your route may require that you transfer at the downtown hub stations to a different color line.

Because of the variance in routes and the times of travel through out the week, we would recommend that you first obtain a route map and then plan your travel.

    Monday Through Friday
    6:05AM to 6:55PM to Bozeman 6:50AM to 7:50PM to Livingston

Greenline Express Route
The Greenline Express Route was created to meet increasing demand for public transportation between Bozeman and Belgrade. Beginning in Belgrade every weekday, the first bus leaves from Belgrade at 6:55 am and heads into Bozeman with several stops along the way before reaching the MSU campus.

Yellowline University Route
The Yellowline University Route follows a figure eight loop with the Montana State University campus as a centralized hub. The Yellowline makes a continuous run beginning at the Strand Union Building, to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, returning to campus and heading west past the Mall to the Valley Commons area.

The Blueline Retail Route
The Blueline Retail Route provides runs from the Montana State University campus, crossing main and heading north up North 19th Avenue with several stops along the way at retail locations. The Blueline is designed to provide access to retailers, grocers and businesses on the north side of town. At the downtown transfer hub, you can get from the Blueline to the Redline and Yellowline.

Redline Downtown Route
The Redline Downtown Route runs several times daily up and down main street from the heart of downtown, to Bozeman High and connects with MSU campus. The Redline is designed for downtown access and connecting with intersecting routes.
