One of the most notable favorites in which locals participate is the annual MSU homecoming parade (generally the first weekend of October). Next to the Sweet Pea Festival parade in August, this is the city's largest outdoor gathering of people and events celebrating MSU, its students, its faculty and local support.
If you are a student in high school, or parents of a teen considering MSU, and want to see the campus up close, MSU's admissions office offers daily orientation tours Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) during the academic sessions. You can pre-arrange such a tour by contacting their department at 406-994-2452.
