Manhattan Montana Chamber of Commerce

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce is a great place to stop for information on Manhattan and it hotels, restaurants and other travel information.

Overview
Named by New York City investors who chose the fertile Montana plains to grow barley for the Manhattan Malting Company, Manhattan, Montana has little else in common with its namesake on the East Coast. A rural farming community 20 minutes west of Bozeman, Manhattan might be the perfect place to explore if you want to get off the beaten path and explore Montana's agricultural history.

Activities
Manhattan Montana is so close to the mountains and forests of this region of Montana, that you can almost step out your door and be in the backcountry. Visitors to Manhattan enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing in the winter, backpacking, horseback riding and much more.

Attractions
Manhattan is only 20 miles northwest of Bozeman, so many of the attractions found in Bozeman are easily seen while staying in Manhattan.
Bozeman has a multitude of museums, historical districts, arts, theaters, symphonies and concerts.

Community
Farming in Manhattan now focuses on seed potatoes, dairy and wheat farms. The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce can provide up to date information on the town's annual festivals, including farmer's markets and a yearly Potato Festival.
