Gardiner Montana Forest Service Cabins

For a limited wilderness experience when visiting Yellowstone National Park, consider renting a cabin near Gardiner Montana.

Gardiner was not only the first, but is the only entrance to Yellowstone National Park that remains open year-round. The area surrounding Gardiner on the three sides which are not the Park, are filled with valleys, meadows, forested hills, streams and some small lakes.

The Forest Service cabin rental program offers opportunities for a "roughing it" experience. Living without indoor plumbing, electricity, running water & building fires in wood stoves for heat and for cooking are the amenities that go with this 'next to nature' encounter. Other privately owned cabins and vacation rental usually come with amenities that are more modern.
