© Vertical Media Public access is excellent throughout Montana's fishing waters, made possible by joint ventures between private landowners and public entities such as Montana's Fish,Wildlife & Parks and Federal land partners such as the Bureau of Land Management and National Forest Service.

You can float most of the larger Montana rivers (either privately or on a professionally-guided trip) with a raft or drift boat which will take you through magnificent scenery to experience our excellent fishing. These guides can also take you to explore the waters of smaller streams, creeks and lakes. Just be aware of Montana's stream access law which allows angler access to the high-water mark of all recreational streams and rivers. Being respectful of this right only builds goodwill with landowners and preserves a fun experience for all who use our resources.

Of course, you will want to contact one of the local fishing shops in the area to gear up for your fishing excursion. There are a number in the area, so be sure to view the listings of these businesses found throughout the entire fishing section of this site.
