Lewis & Clark Marathon
To take part in a great race is always a lot of fun, and the Lewis & Clark Marathon has many itching to run. Bozeman, Montana, a nice western town not far from Yellowstone National Park, hosts this fantastic marathon. Surrounded by beautiful forestlands, you'll find this an ideal marathon location.
Perhaps it was Lewis and Clark who first took part in this marathon. Much of their time in Montana was right in the Bozeman area. But needless to say, the Lewis & Clark Marathon could be held in no better spot. You follow the footsteps of some of the greatest pioneers of our world.
This 26.2 mile run starts in Bozeman at the historic Malmborg School, following Jackson Creek Road to Bridger Canyon Road, with fabulous views. You'll hit some challenging hills on Kelly Canyon Road then proceed to the historic Fort Ellis. As you move through the wide-open spaces and breathe the fresh air, you'll pick up speed and continue the course to the end, at Montana State University Track Complex. The course is open for six hours with lots of support, so you should have time to finish. You'll not forget this fabulous race, with the vistas of four different mountain ranges and plenty of sunshine.
