What's a grand Old West county without the proper fairgrounds? To start, one most likely without a rodeo. But, in Gallatin County, Montana the fairgrounds is alive and well. Located in Bozeman, the Gallatin County Fairgrounds is home to the Bozeman Roundup, Gallatin County Fair, and the Wild West WinterFest. Established in 1903, the famous fairground has been a community favorite, as well as a state and regional events center. The fairgrounds is also the home of the Bozeman Bucks American Legion baseball team, Bozeman Amateur Hockey Association and Bozeman Rifle and Pistol Club indoor shooting range.

Starting in mid-July, the Gallatin County Fairgrounds is host to the well attended County Fair. From cotton candy to stomach wrenching rides to live entertainment, the County Fair can put a smile on anyone's face - regardless of age. The highlights of the multi-day event are the PBR rodeo and the Roundup Ranch Rodeo which showcases some of the best riders and animals in the surrounding area. The 2008 Gallatin County Fair is July 16-20.
During the heart of winter in the Rockies, which can get quite cold, the county fairgrounds holds the Wild West WinterFest which is a representation of the areas western lifestyle. A very unique Montana event, the Wild West WinterFest includes agriculture, commerce, entertainment, education and outdoor sports for you to "Experience the West" . So, come and join us for 3 fun-filled days of events and contests for horses, dogs, chickens, rabbits, kids and adults. If you're looking for a remedy to kick the wintertime blues, head to the fairgrounds in mid-February for welcoming winter excitement. The 2008 Wild West WinterFest is February 15-17.
The Gallatin County Fairgrounds facilities are also available for private and public events throughout the year.
