Ice Dogs Hockey
The Bozeman Icedogs are a hot item in the state of Montana even though they play on a cool surface. The Icedogs, who compete in the Junior "A" North American Hockey League which is the United States' premiere Tier II hockey league, are a squad of mainly young players who are honing and developing their skills in hopes of playing Division I and Division III college hockey - and possibly professionally.
Skating in the Western Division of the NAHL, the Icedogs, along with two other teams from Montana (Billings and Helena), play two teams from North Dakota and one from Minnesota. Prior to the 2003-04 season, the Icedogs were members of the America West Hockey League until the two leagues merged. While not on the ice, the Icedogs are very active in the Gallatin Valley working with local charity organizations and strongly believe in giving back to the community.
Starting their regular-season in October, the Icedogs, who play their games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, dice the ice throughout the winter through February. They then have a chance of a post-season berth if they rack-up more wins than losses.
Playing their home games at Gallatin County Fairgrounds' Haynes' Pavilion, the Icedogs entertain thousands of hungry hockey fans at one of the grandest venues in the league. It is a perfect location for folks to catch a game who are new to the sport and want to learn the basics or a way to chase off evening boredom. Only the finest components are used for the playing area: the ice sheet, solid dasher board glass and excellent lighting combine to offer the best skating experience possible next to the NHL.

Tickets may purchased at the game only. All seating is general admission. Games are played at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds' Haynes' Pavilion.
So, if you're in Bozeman and at a loss with what to do with your time, hop over to the Gallatin County Fairgrounds' Haynes' Pavilion and see some future hockey stars knock the puck around.
