Because of its high elevation, Ennis is popular for is cool summer days with temperatures rarely reaching 90. The winters, however bring lots of snow and cold weather with average temperatures being in the mid 30s. There are cold spells that dip below zero and last for a few days. However, Ennis has a dry climate and temperatures don_t seem as cold as they would in more humid areas of the country.

Most people who decide to move to Ennis are attracted to the outdoor recreation opportunities it offers. Fishing, hiking, and biking are popular in the summers, while snowmobiling and snowshoeing dominate the winters. For skiers, Big Sky Ski Village is located just over 2 hours away.

If you are moving to Ennis with children, pre-school, elementary, and high school are all taught "under one roof." However, teachers are devoted to one-on-one attention. Average graduating high school classes number at about 15. The closest college is Montana State University which is located in Bozeman.
