Overview
Spire Rock Campground is located on the Bozeman Ranger District of the Gallatin National Forest 26 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The campground is adjacent to Storm Castle Creek, a tributary of the Gallatin River. Most campsites are along the creek surrounded by spruce and fir trees. Roads and campsite spurs are gravel.

Location
From Bozeman take U.S. Highway 191 south for 23 miles to the Storm Castle turnoff. Turn left and go 3 miles to the campground. The last 3 miles are gravel road.

From West Yellowstone, go 66 miles north on US Hwy 191, turn right on Storm Castle Road, turn right at T after the bridge and go 3 miles to the campground.

Reservations

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.

  • Season or Open Dates - Depending on weather conditions the campground may be open from May 15th to September 15th.
  • Elevation – 5600 feet
  • Fee – Fee is $16 per day. Extra vehicle: $8.00 per night

    Remaining sites are standard non-electrical
    Sites are suitable for RV’s.

Additional Information
Generators are allowed. There is no dump station. There are no showers or laundry facility. Bears frequent the area; please store all food appropriately.
